Abstract

Basics. - The state of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected different areas of people's lives, and much more in mental health, placing greater emphasis on health professionals who worked on the front line. The objective of this study is to analyze the level of resilience in health professionals who worked on the front line in direct care with patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: In the study, a systematic review was carried out according to the PRISMA format in the electronic databases Pudmed, Wiley, Elsevier and academic Google in the months of February and March 2022. The methodology was evaluated through the critical evaluation tool for non-randomized studies of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) (Santos, Secoli, Püschel, 2018). Results: A total of 28 studies were included in the systematic review. Resilience levels were an important factor in coping with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on health professionals. Diversity of studies were observed where medium and high levels of resilience were identified, in nurses, doctors, midwives and paramedics. Conclusions: Resilience in health professionals was one of the key factors to work on the front line in a state of pandemic by COVID-19 and not be psychologically affected, due to the high rate of infections and deaths that arose in the health context. Medium and high levels of resilience were obtained as results in the health professionals taken as a sample in the studies.
