Introduction: Pectus Excavatum is one of the main congenital anomalies, it is associated with distortions or deformities of the rib cage, it can be asymptomatic and often gives rise to various discomforts of cosmetic, psychosocial or physical origin. Objective: To analyze the malformation of the rib cage: Pectus Excavatum through a systematic review of the literature to determine the effectiveness of treatments and procedures. Methodology: A systematic review of the literature was carried out in academic search engines such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Scielo and Elsevier, about the effectiveness of treatments and procedures, using a total of 19 original articles. Results: The Nuss procedure is the treatment used in pediatric patients with optimal results, with a short operation time and minimal blood loss, with low complications, after it the cardiorespiratory functions are evaluated, since they can develop changes in their cardiac function the same that can trigger with the death of the patient. Conclusions: Health personnel must be trained on surgical procedures, medications and care that lead to said intervention, focusing mainly on pain management, mobility supervision, implementation of a tolerable diet and new lifestyle changes. of the patient.
