Professional ethics in modernity: considerations from the literatura

Abstract

The objective of this research article was to analyze through a systematic review of the theme of professional ethics in modernity and thereby understand its evolution, advances and setbacks in this time of history. For this, a type of qualitative research was carried out, the method was analysis and the synthesis method; the type of research is documentary; the design is bibliographic. The population was selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study units were made up of seventeen (17) sources and the sample of seven 07. The data collection technique was documentary observation and as for the instruments, the data record and electronic files were used. For the analysis, the content analysis technique was used, through the analysis matrix. The results show that in the context of postmodernity, ethical dilemmas are derived in the exercise of the profession, since we live in a moment of ethical difficulty of the professions, because the crisis of the economic model that accompanies the regimes politicians of the moment, impacts on the meaning of work and professions that in many cases is focused on the search for profit. It is concluded that ethics is an inherent component of all professions, therefore, the teaching of professional ethics is a necessity of our current circumstances.
