Abstract

Communication management is essential for ensuring efficient patient referral and robust institutional strengthening within complex healthcare systems, such as those governing oncology care in Milagro, Ecuador. This quantitative, correlational study investigated the predictive relationship between four key communication dimensions (planning, information flow, channels, and citizen participation) and institutional strengthening, utilizing a survey of 130 hospital staff cases. Analysis revealed a highly significant and strong positive correlation between overall communicational management and institutional strengthening. The results confirm that a strategically managed communication framework is a critical predictor of institutional capacity and efficiency. This study suggests adopting tailored strategic communication models to improve governance and clinical quality in complex healthcare environments.
